ITV news reporter photobombed by man carrying dead squirrel

FORGET KIDS MAKING funny faces – this is the way to photobomb a news reporter.

ITV news reporter Romilly Weeks was broadcasting from outside Westminster yesterday when a man proceeded to march into shot carrying a dead squirrel.

Ah yeah, pretty standard.

The reporter later tweeted that she was “upstaged” by the dead squirrel.

So, just why was the man walking around with a dead squirrel?

That’s still unclear, but apparently Squirrel Appreciation Day might have had something to do with it.

Yes, January 21st is apparently National Squirrel Appreciation Day. Founded in 2001, the “holiday” invites people to celebrate their squirrel friends.

Was that what this man was doing? Possibly!

Though as Weeks points out, it’s a rather odd way of showing your appreciation.
